IIm7-V7-Is
This is another exercise which takes you round the cycle. Note again how the 7th of the IIm7 moves smoothly onto the 3rd of the V7. The upward skip to the flat 9 is followed by a descending scale run, which could resolve to the 3rd of a tonic chord:
or else, as in this case, move to another IIm7 chord and on round the cycle:
